Coming back to MCFW S3-Day2 thanks to shopping and arriving quite late, my seats weren’t as good as day 1 but nevertheless enjoyed every bit of it.MCFW for those of you are not aware is a fashion week organized by Jupiter events and Naturals to showcase young and budding designers. Here are the list of shows and my thoughts on them.
Day 2 was elegant, fun with lots of color, glamour and glitz !
1. Deepika pillai – The show started off with the very pretty ‘Deepika Pillai’ featuring beautiful floral dresses, sequins and lots of bling paired
with exquisite jewelry. This show was my favorite of the evening as the collection was so much fun for men and women, I personally
loved the quirky jackets designed for the men(wish i could force the boy to wear it)elaborate sequined blouses and saris worn by the lovely showstoppers was the talk of the evening.
2. Audacious and the alternate – The fusion designs by Niminsha Sara Philip and Sahil Jain was awe inspiring, fashion with a message was the entire theme and the messages they supported was truly positive and the whole show had such a good vibe to it. The lovely show stopper promoted – dark is beautiful by women of worth, The other causes they supported were PETA go fake for animals sake.Such a feel good show!!
3. Jeeni by Jeeva Mohan – This collection showcased an array of clothing for the bridal party, Focus was on glitzy bridal wear and designs were sophisticated.Loved the fortune cookie left at the seats right before the show, made me feel like there was a personalized touch. The show stopper dress was truly fit for a princess !!
4.Fernand ratier – His collection was inspired by Vintage Italian movie – ‘portier de nuit’ and his beautiful muse ‘Shruthi Hassan’ He reinvented the Saree with lots of leather and pleats with a vintage touch and black made the look vampy and modern and bold.
5. Final sequence was by Naturals with models wearing black with the signature lavender flower motif in the hair which represents the brand, Dramatic hairdo’s and bold and flawless makeup was ruling the runway.
